BHCIP Round 6, Part I: Unmet Needs Listening Session

On October 30, 2023, the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) hosted a Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) Round 6, Part I: Unmet Needs Listening Session that was open to the public, including county, Tribal, nonprofit, and for-profit organizations.

The full BHCIP Round 6 will award a total of $480.7 million, divided in two parts, for behavioral health infrastructure projects. In Round 6, Part I: Unmet Needs, $240.4 million will be awarded through a Request for Applications (RFA) that is anticipated for release in January 2024. The remaining $240.3 million will be awarded in Round 6, Part II through an RFA anticipated in January 2025.

The listening session specifically focused on BHCIP Round 6, Part I: Unmet Needs and was an opportunity for eligible applicants to provide input directly to DHCS.
